The ICHR Library and Documentation Centre is the knowledge hub of ICHR and is designed to support the research objectives of the various units of the organisation and also to act as a national facility to support scholars and researchers from India and abroad. It is a unique library having collections mainly in the fields of, Ancient History, Medieval History, Modern History, Archaeology, Anthropology, Philosophy, Religion and other allied disciplines. Our mission is to acquire, organize and update the library collection to support the teaching-learning and research activities.
The Library of this centre is stored with books including reference books, new arrivals of display both books & journals and along with reading room facilities is situated at the 3rd floor of this building. The Documentation Centre is situated at the 2nd floor of this building with wifi enabled environment and is consisted of the reports, conference proceedings, theses and dissertations and other valuable source documents This Centre subscribes to more than 100 national and international journals in print, many e-Journals and also subscribing Online databases from different publishers. Apart from these, the Documentation Centre has a good collection of microfilms and microfiches.
