The Indian Historical Review (IHR) which is listed in Thomson Reuters Citation Index is among the most prestigious publications of ICHR. Two issues of IHR are brought out each year— one in June and the other in December. The IHR is perhaps the only journal (in history) of its kind in India which has been published continuously for the last 49 years. It addresses research interests in all areas of historical studies— ranging from early times to contemporary history. It has won wide recognition for its comprehensive and balanced coverage of different periods, as well as its high academic and editorial standards. Articles, including those, which are commissioned, are independently and confidentially referred.
